Imagine being presented with a book containing a record of your soul’s purpose. Its pages list every thought, deed and experience you have ever had during countless forgotten lifetimes, insights that offer you profound recall and understanding into some aspect of your own lifepath or soul’s evolution. Known as the Akashic record, this ancient belief is the inspiration behind Runestone’s latest groundbreaking album. Open your book and start to read . . .
Recorded in new studio facilities, instruments include keyboards, electro-classical, acoustic, 12 string and Ebow guitars, mandolin, mandola, Native American flutes, Tibetan Bowls, deep gong harmonics and assorted pieces of world percussion.
The whole album runs at a fixed hypnotic tempo of 70 beats per minute. Transitional fades and background effects between tracks have been used in preference to pauses. Each track contains hints and echos of themes used elsewhere in the album to symbolize recurring life patterns and memories. In terms of production, sound quality and variety of instruments, this is the most ambitious Runestone album to date.
Selected track clips can be heard from our Jukebox page. If you like what you hear, the album can be ordered by clicking the cover picture above.
