Just for fun . . .

During times of uncertainty and change, there is one reliable constant

that never seems to alter at all. Despite a few hundred thousand years of

human evolution and natural selection, it has to be said there are a lot of

strange people about. Possibly more than you might expect?

. . . not that this observation has anything to do with the

  knitted guitar pictured here.

. . . and, for reasons of legality and integrity, this website certainly

wouldn't want to point fingers or mention names of anybody we know

who could possibly be considered odd. So we wouldn't, for example,

mention Val or Terry or their daughters Jemma and Natalie, who

spent longer than you might think reasonable making this

life-size guitar, only to give it away to Chris for Christmas.

Understandably, Chris has been overwhelmed by his new  . . . erm . . . instrument.

Even though its practical use raises all kinds of technical recording issues, Robert

reckons that it could iron out a lot of the problems Chris has playing his more

conventional guitars. Whatever the pros and cons, it is difficult to look at this

guitar lined up with the rest of the Runestone studio kit without smiling.

A big thank you from Chris to Val, Terry, Jemma and Natalie.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that a Law Marshal Badge might not be the most likely image to find on our website. The story goes like this . . .

Many of you will know that the man at the heart of the TRUE series is the holistic therapist, teacher and founder of the Kingswood Reiki Foundation, Peter King. Peter has another string to his bow. He is also a published writer of a series of Deadlands role-play games. For the uninitiated, Deadlands could be described as a Dungeons & Dragons type of game set in a mythical Wild West.

A few years ago, Peter approached Medwyn to write some background music and ambient sounds that could be played to enhance the atmosphere of the game. This is how the two first met. Peter has since presented one of these badges to all of the musicians he has worked with as part of the TRUE series. The only downside is that you can forget you're wearing it . . . going shopping can be a problem. Thanks Peter:-)
